“The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy."
In Jesus, we find the image of the invisible God. If that is so, I do not find Him hard to understand nor complex at all. Some religions make God so complex that we have to always go to the priest or the head of the religion to understand the least about God. But to us Christians, God has already modeled Himself in the shape of Jesus Christ that we may see, in the flesh, the invisible God.
In some ways, God is predictable such as His compassion toward us and His love for us never changes. His mind is set and His decisions not swayed back and forth like ours does unless He allow us to do so like in Abraham’s case. There is even a verse in Numbers 23:19 that says that God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that he should change His mind.
And because He never changes, I can always be secure that He loves me no matter what.
If that is so, I can then be secure that He knows what He is doing on planet earth since He created all things and because of Him all things hold together.
Therefore, God is good whether or not you believe it. QED.
